British-American Business Connections statement on the United Kingdom leaving the European Union

5 February 2020

(SEATTLE) Following on to the 31st January statement from our sister chapter BritishAmerican Business, the Pacific Northwest Chapter of British-American Business Connections released the following statement on the United Kingdom leaving the European Union.

"As the United Kingdom exited the European Union last Friday and starts the journey to solidify how things will now work in terms of trade, people movement, and more, the transatlantic community in the Pacific Northwest region can rely on British-American Business Connections (BABC) and the wider British-American Business Council Network to be a valued source of information. The chapter and network look forward to continuing to support transatlantic business engagement, fostering connections and ongoing discussions on how UK-U.S. transatlantic business will adapt, evolve, and prosper. As per the recent post from the UK Government, there are resources available to help professionals plan and prepare. BABC encourages its members and the wider transatlantic business community to reach out to our chapter and members to keep the questions and conversations going to support each other in these changing times."

As part of engaging these important discussions, BABC will host an exclusive business reception on 5th March highlighting what's next in the post-Brexit era. We are pleased to welcome BritishAmerican Business CEO Duncan Edwards to provide featured remarks. He will be joined by business and government leaders who will share their insights on what the broader regional business community can expect. The gathering will also provide an excellent opportunity to meet others and have like-minded business conversations. Details on the event will be announced soon.
