Scottish Exports Increased by 2.9% in 2018

The value of exports from Scotland grew to £85bn in 2018 - an increase of 2.9%, according to new estimates released by the Scottish Government.

In 2018, exports to EU countries increased by £695 million (4.5%) to £16.1 billion, while exports to non-EU countries increased by £425 million (2.5%) to £17.7 billion.

The USA continued to be Scotland’s top international export destination country with an estimated £5.5 billion of exports in 2018. The top five international export markets (USA, France, Netherlands, Germany and Belgium) accounted for £15.1 billion (45%) of international exports from Scotland in 2018.
