British Consul Robin Twyman, in partnership with British-American Business Connections (BABC), warmly invite you to join the UK's official Love is GREAT team in this year's Seattle Pride Parade on Sunday, June 30. We'll be walking under the Love is GREAT brand to promote LGBT rights, equality and inclusion, and Britain as an all-embracing choice for LGBT visitors from Seattle.

 

For the second year in a row, the Love is GREAT team is delighted to be a part of the international delegation in the parade, marching alongside our Canadian and other global friends to celebrate inclusion and equality.

Seattle Pride is a fun and festive event, with plenty of color, music and diversity. Approximately 300,000 people attended last year. This year marks Seattle's 45th annual event, since the Pride Parade's inception in 1974. Since 1971, London's Gay Pride Parade has grown to over 30,000 marchers and a million spectators, and there are now 60 annual pride events held in cities across Britain.

DETAILS

• The parade kicks off at 11:00am. The Love is GREAT team will meet approximately 30 minutes prior. Details and logistical information will be shared closer to the event.

• This event is free to participants, however sign up is required in order to track participant numbers and share details.

​

• Group participants will receive Love is GREAT t-shirts to wear and themed flags to wave and hand out. Sign ups by Sunday, June 16 ensured a t-shirt in their selected size. Limited additional sizes may be available on-site.

• The parade takes place along 4th Avenue in downtown Seattle, ending at 2nd Avenue and Denny Way, near the Seattle Center.

• Anticipate 2-hours of walk time. The full parade in its entirety is around 4 hours.
