Michelle Cherewatenko is the CEO of the not-for-profit member based American Association of Patients and Providers (AAPP), and its flagship program SimpleCare, carrying on her late husband Vern Cherewatenko, MD’s legacy in building a nationwide network of patients and providers.

Dr. Cherewatenko, MD developed the AAPP to allow providers the freedom of offering direct pay healthcare services and products at a reasonable price to patients desiring to work outside insurance coverage and limitations. SimpleCare is also a commonsense solution to increase affordability and accessibility of quality healthcare for individuals and families with limited or no healthcare insurance.

Being a Washington State native her whole life, Michelle is proud to be a part of enhancing business opportunities and revenue for her home state and has been a business entrepreneur, managing three successful business, since 1997. Currently she is working to rebuild and expand the SimpleCare provider network within the US and on a global scale targeting the UK and its Free Trade Agreements around the world. Her goal is to help promote American standards and innovation in medicine with AAPP providers and have options for medical tourism and international telemedicine available to AAPP members.
