PNAA Breakfast Meeting: Going Global: Insights into Expanding Your International Footprint

Everett Community College Corporate and Continuing Education Center #116

Most businesses today will have teams working in different locations, but managing these teams effectively across different time zones and cultures isn’t an easy nut to crack, particularly in the increasingly international world of aerospace. This presentation explores the realities and practicalities of working across space and time, and shares one company’s experience of how it does and doesn’t work on a global level. It looks at the reasons why companies ‘go global’ and the five different models commonly used by companies moving to an international working model. It shares Atkins’ aerospace business’ experience of operating in each of the five models, and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
